During the first year of my course, I had to produce a magazine style TV show in a group of 20. My role was vision mixer; switching between shots and using effective transition effects such as wipe and fade. Since I learnt how to use a vision mixer due to previous education, I enjoyed working in a fast-paced environment.

This role made me more aware of time-management and how important it is to communicate with various members of the team such as director, the PA and VT operator.

During Collaborative Project; also in the first year of my course, I took on the role as leader and editor to produce a video focusing on body image and judging people on what they wear for the theme of 'Women's Rights'. My role was to ensure all members were assigned tasks, stay up to date with everyone's progress, oversee each production and also edit alongside another video editor. It was a good experience leading a team as it helped build my confidence and pushed me out of my comfort zone when we faced challenges.
